Alongside Hope

This year’s World of Gifts highlights the bright ideas and innovation of our partners. From clean water and eco-toilets to egg incubators and honey bees, you can support projects that improve local health, care for creation and provide opportunities for people to become more economically stable.

Thanks to a generous donor, all gifts will be matched up to $100,000!

Across the country, people have received the World of Gifts guide in the October Anglican Journal. Didn't get yours yet? Not to worry, you can review the guide here.

Every year, our donors give approximately $400,000-$450,000 to the World of Gifts campaign. You can “buy” gifts to support our partners, or why not give a meaningful gift in honour of a loved one? Simply check off the box on the order form to receive a physical card that you can fill in and deliver.

What about postal interruptions?

When ordering online, you can indicate whether you’d like to receive a physical card (to be mailed after the postal strike ends), or send an ecard directly to the recipient. You can also download the gifts cards to print at home and hand deliver them to the people on your Christmas list.

With each of these 40 items, you’re showing your commitment to Alongside Hope’s mission to build a truly just, healthy and peaceful world.

Alongside Hope Christmas Cards

Alongside Hope Christmas Cards

Alongside Hope’s 2025 Christmas cards are available in two designs, painted by the Rt. Rev. John Watton, Bishop of Central Newfoundland. In “Something Happened in Bethlehem” a nativity scene is lit up in silhouette by a spectacular blast of light and colour. In “Winter Light,” the rising sun shimmers in a purplish sky over a Newfoundland village, a reminder that with the birth of Jesus, hope begins.

A donation toward Alongside Hope Christmas cards supports its partners, and also tells people about the good work. A minimum donation of $25 per pack of 12 cards is recommended. Donations of $25 or more qualify for a tax receipt. Please allow 3-4 weeks for shipping.
