Walking Together in Prayer and Support

Walking Together in Prayer and Support

Father Thomas Gatluak is currently in the process of sponsoring his wife and children so that their family may be reunited in Canada after years of separation due to conflict and displacement.

Father Thomas has initiated a GoFundMe appeal to assist with one-time, upfront expenses only, including immigration application fees, required medical documentation, travel to Canada, and initial settlement needs.

Parishioners and friends are invited to hold the family in prayer, to share the appeal within their own networks, and, for those who feel able, to offer financial support.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of Alpha, and we pray for the Holy Spirit to accompany both the Alpha team and participants and to direct us as we journey together. Amen

Voices of Hope

A Partner with Alongside Hope

Countless children and families have faced fear, loss, and displacement because of the ongoing war that’s happening in Ukraine. Voices of Children, a partner of Alongside Hope, is providing urgent support when it is needed most.

Through a 21-day therapeutic camp in the Carpathian mountains, children and their caregivers are given a safe place to rest and recover while feeling like kids again. Away from the sounds of war, trained therapists use art and conversation to help children talk about their experiences and begin the process of healing. This support is especially important right now.

As the war continues, the impacted children are carrying deep emotional pain. Without help, that trauma can last for years. By teaching simple coping skills and helping families reconnect, Voices of Children gives them hope, stability, and a path forward. In the middle of crisis and war, this care is making a real difference.
