The Sunday of the Passion: Palm Sunday

The Sunday of the Passion: Palm Sunday

March 29

At the 10:15 AM service on March 29, we remember the triumphant arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ in Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, with palms waving to greet Him, followed by a dramatic reading of the Gospel account of His crucifixion.

There will be a rehearsal for the Palm Sunday dramatic reading of the Passion Gospel at 9:30 AM on March 29.

Please pick up your Easter letter from Kersi in the narthex. If there isn’t a letter addressed to you, please take one of the unaddressed copies. If there is a letter for you that hasn’t been addressed, please email your address to office@stbarnabas.ca so that we can include you on future mailings.

If you are able to deliver an Easter basket to one of our home bound parishioners, that would be appreciated. The baskets are in the narthex.

Self-guided, outdoor Stations of the Cross will be posted on the windows facing the courtyard from Tuesday to Friday of Holy Week.

The St. Barnabas Scouts have offered to prepare a belated Shrove Tusesday pancake lunch for us on April 12th after coffee hour. Pancakes = Yummy!

To include a name on the intercessory prayer list for the month of April, please submit it to the office by Monday, March 30.

Join us as we celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord!

Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckeon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:9)

Walking Together in Prayer and Support

Walking Together in Prayer and Support

Father Thomas Gatluak is currently in the process of sponsoring his wife and children so that their family may be reunited in Canada after years of separation due to conflict and displacement.

Father Thomas has initiated a GoFundMe appeal to assist with one-time, upfront expenses only, including immigration application fees, required medical documentation, travel to Canada, and initial settlement needs.

Parishioners and friends are invited to hold the family in prayer, to share the appeal within their own networks, and, for those who feel able, to offer financial support.

Flower Calendar

Flower Calendar

To sponsor altar flowers, sign up on the flower calendar posted on the bulletin board in the narthex. As there is room for only one set of flowers on the altar, if someone has already signed up for the date you wish, we request that you choose another date. Cost of flower sponsorship is $60 and is included in the calculation of your tax receipt.

Please contact the office by Tuesday of the week before your sponsorship date to provide your dedication to be printed in the bulletin.
