September 13th is Kickoff Sunday when we begin our new programming year, including Sunday school. Following the 10:15 AM service, we will enjoy a potluck lunch, so please bring your favourite dish to share! Livestream of the 10:15 AM service on YouTube also resumes that day. 

Choir rehearsal resumes on Thursday, September 10th at 7:00 PM. Speak to Margaret Kosa if you are interested in joining the choir. 

Gloria returns from vacation on October 1st. 

Sunday School resumes September 13th. 

The floor in the nave will be refinished during the week of September 21st and we anticipate that it might not be ready in time for services on September 27th.

We have, therefore, made arrangements to attend Holy Cross that day and The Rev. Simba Mutandwa looks forward to welcoming us that morning.

Holy Cross is located at 2828 19 Street NW. A traditional said BCP Holy Communion service is at 8:30 AM, while the main service is held at 10:00 AM, followed by coffee hour.

We would look forward to worshipping with our sisters and brothers in Christ at Holy Cross that day!

This service is on hiatus until September 9th.

Alongside Hope supports emergency response in Nepal. 

A message from the Synod Office: In preparation for our Diocesan Synod, taking place October 23 and 24, the Synod Steering Committee has chosen a theme of “Living in Hope.” We wish to show a video presentation on this theme during our time together over the two days. We need your help.

We would love to have your submissions of photos or videos on how your Parish is Living in Hope. How does your Parish offer the Hope of Christ in its ministry, its worship, its mission? Please consider this theme, discuss it with your parishioners, and send in your submissions to the Diocese office by September 30 to ctubman@calgary.anglican.ca

The following request for financial assistance is from a former parishioner who is battling two types of cancer. 

To sponsor altar flowers, sign up on the flower calendar posted on the bulletin board in the narthex. As there is room for only one set of flowers on the altar, if someone has already signed up for the date you wish, we request that you choose another date. Cost of flower sponsorship is $60 and is included in the calculation of your tax receipt.

Please contact the office by Tuesday of the week before your sponsorship date to provide your dedication to be printed in the bulletin.
