All Saints' Day

November 1

Thank you to the hard-working volunteers who helped to make the Harvest Lunch such a lovely event. Their efforts are truly appreciated.

Please return your pledge card and ministries opportunity card by November 1st. You can put them in the envelope that was provided and place it on the offering plate. The pledge cards provide valuable information for planning next year's budget.

BAS calendars are available for $9 each. Please put payment in one of the envelopes in the narthex and put the envelope on the collection plate; your calendar(s) will be set out for you next week. If paying by e-transfer, please note that it is for calendar purchase. The BAS calendar has photographs of Canadian churches and is the calendar which our lectionary follows. BCP calendars have been ordered; if you ordered one, you will  be contacted with the cost once they arrive.

Financial Update

Thank you!

Thank you!

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Margaret and to the choir for the beautiful anthem, “The Lord is My Shepherd”, which they offered last Sunday to mark ten years since I became the rector of St. Barnabas.  It is a joy and a privilege to be here, and to share in this ministry together. The adventure continues! ~ Kersi

Alongside Hope

Alongside Hope

Every year on her birthday, Ros and Dorothy sit out on the front porch for a couple of hours and hold the world in mind, one place at a time.

This year you can come along. They fly around the world in prayer, and every pledge goes to one project: solar suitcases for clinics in Mozambique, so midwives can deliver babies safely after dark. One suitcase costs CA$6,500, and that is Ros’s target. Pledge, and they swing by your door for a flypast and write your name in the sky.

Walking Together in Prayer and Support

Walking Together in Prayer and Support

Father Thomas Gatluak is currently in the process of sponsoring his wife and children so that their family may be reunited in Canada after years of separation due to conflict and displacement.

Father Thomas has initiated a GoFundMe appeal to assist with one-time, upfront expenses only, including immigration application fees, required medical documentation, travel to Canada, and initial settlement needs.

Parishioners and friends are invited to hold the family in prayer, to share the appeal within their own networks, and, for those who feel able, to offer financial support.

Flower Calendar

Flower Calendar

To sponsor altar flowers, sign up on the flower calendar posted on the bulletin board in the narthex. As there is room for only one set of flowers on the altar, if someone has already signed up for the date you wish, we request that you choose another date. Cost of flower sponsorship is $60 and is included in the calculation of your tax receipt.

Please contact the office by Tuesday of the week before your sponsorship date to provide your dedication to be printed in the bulletin.
